INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING & USAGE
Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP should not be stored in sunlight, bright light or UV light. Exposure to any form of light will affect the squeegee color, making it darker, but it will not change the performance of the squeegee. When you are ready to use your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP, leave the roll flat for a full 24 hours. This way, the squeegee will have time to relax and be ready for use.
Primarily, the Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP is used in many electronic screen printing applications, mostly high end consumer touch panel devices like mobile phones and tablets. It can also be used for electronics, graphics, textiles, glass, bottles/containers or solar cells.
Grinding or Sharpening:
Prior to use, you will not be required to sharpen your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red. You should only sharpen a squeegee when it is clean, dry and has not been used for over 12 hours.
Overtime your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red will harden, so it is best to test your old squeegees regularly. Never use an old squeegee that becomes 5 to 10 degrees more than the original hardness. It is best practice to never use your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red without ink. This will destroy the printing edge of your squeegee after a few passes.
During long runs, the sharp edge of your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red may be lost, and you will need to plan to swap out your squeegee early. The Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red features a ultra sharp printing edge that provides not only great print quality, but accuracy helping to deposit printed layers between 70µm and 10µm (microns). Remember that rounded edges use and deposit more ink during the screen printing process.
Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP should be cleaned immediately after use to prevent dried ink accumulation. When you are finished with the product, you must remove all of the remaining ink deposits from both the holder and squeegee. Leftover ink will cause marks, which can also decrease your print quality.
Clean your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red with a soft cloth and always make sure to wipe away from the edge of your squeegee. To help increase the lifespan of your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red, let your squeegee “rest” for up to 12 hours after cleaning and before you begin your next printing job.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR STORAGETo extend the lifespan of your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red, store your squeegee between 15-25° C in dry conditions and away from any inks you already have. When your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red is exposed to high humidity, it will begin to absorb extra moisture and solvents that are in the air. You must store your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red flat, avoid leaving it rolled up.
If you plan to store your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red mounted in a holder, do not have it resting on the squeegee or allow the squeegee to touch anything else. You must also avoid leaving your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red or its holder in a solvent to soak. Soaking your Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP red will cause swelling and loss of resilience.
When stored properly, a brand new, unused Trelleborg Unitex Ulon HP Red can last up to approximately two years.
